Best baked beans

Everyone raves about these baked beans and always, always wants the recipe at every family barbecue and get together.  This is an easy summertime dish that won’t take you long to make and will have everyone thinking you’re an expert cook or chef.

Best baked beans

Ingredients:

2 large can’s of baked beans (I prefer Bush Baked Beans, but you can use whatever you like)

1 T spiced or Dijon mustard

1 Lg. chopped onion

1 chopped green pepper (you can use different peppers to add and vary the resulting spice and flavor of your baked beans)

1 C ketchup

1 C brown sugar

1/2 C maple syrup

Mix all the ingredients together with a wooden spoon and pour into either Corning Ware or an iron dish with a lid.  Be sure and spray the container first with vegetable spray.

Bake at 350° in the oven for 2 to 3 hours.
